Born in Q1-1920 [Newmarket 3b:1022], to George B and Winifred Alice HAGGER (née WYATT). At the time of his death, his parents lived at 10 Bartons Place, Mill Hill, Newmarket.

In the 1939 register his mother Winifred A [10-6-1894] was at Silvo House Cottage, Exning Road, Newmarket (near Brickfields Stud). There is one closed record.


29th May 1940, Dunkirk: 33,558 British troops are evacuated from Dunkirk harbour and 13,752 from the beaches. The 1st Suffolks lost 22, 13 are buried in Belgium and 9 are named on the Memorial in Dunkirk
